Michael & Britney // Seattle Engagement

Adventuring at Rattlesnake lake was amazing with these two. The phrase "anything for the photo" couldn't have been more true. Brit climbed a freaking stump in her heels for me. I love shoots where I don't hesitate to ask for anything because I know the client will be up for whatever. I'm sure their wedding is going to be killer. Not just because they are both beautiful...but also because they are the more fun than you could ever wish for.  Congrats you guys!

Whitney & Bethany // Alabama Portrait

Bethany hates getting her photo taken. She hardcore wines every time I mention taking pics of her & Whit. Which is silly because they are adorable & their adorableness should be documented more often. The two of them are incredible photographers themselves, but hardly have any photos of themselves, so I basically force them into it whenever I get a chance.

And I don't feel bad about it. I'm such a good friend ;).

Europe // London

Several weeks ago my husband & two of our friends (one of them who happens to be my band mate) took an epic trip to Europe. The first of our four stops was London. I have been dying to share with you some images & stories from our trip. The easiest way to do this...is through this handy blog of mine. So, if you have the time & feel like exploring the world a bit with me...have a looksie.

It doesn't hurt that all of us are photographers & happened to have our cameras with us at all times. Thanks to Whitney & Bethany (Glass Jar Photography) for taking the pics I'm in (cause I am definitely not talented enough to take pics of that caliber of myself). Props to them (and us) to capturing this trip in such a special way.

So here is Part I - LONDON ENGLAND

Ole Håkon & Inga // Norway Wedding

What. An. Adventure. First of all...Norway?! Heck yes.

How we ended up at the location in Part I of this shoot is a craziness. We were frantically wandering the island trying to find the perfect rocks as the sun was setting. We came upon a backyard & the owner overheard us saying we needed to go get a boat (in order to get to where I wanted to be). This kind stranger says..."I have a boat...why don't you use IT"?! Um WHAT?! So off we went in a strangers boat to chase the sun, explore the ocean & find the perfect island spot to complete our shoot. We were splashed on during the journey & had no tie up for the boat...but we embraced it all & had a blast.

A big thanks to Whitney Dean (Glass Jar Photography) for second shooting this with me & to Ilse Papst for making Inga's wildflower bouquet for this shoot.

Before we got their wedding garb wet...we made them hike through a forest of dirt & mosquitoes. Anything for a good pic right? Part II of this shoot was deep in the woods to a set of World War II steps & a moss ridden expanse of greenery. Beautiful indeed.

Andrew & Alisa // Spokane Wedding

To say their wedding was special would be an understatement. This blog isn't long enough for me to share with you this couple's story or the incredible & painful journey they went on before meeting one another. So, I'll have to let the pictures do some talking. Their emotion packed wedding was one of my favorites...and not just because I'm related to the groom. It would have been even if I wasn't. I am SO beyond proud of these two, excited for their marriage & honored to have been a part of their incredible day.

Love them and their little girls to pieces. What a precious family you have created!

Jonathan & Chelsea // Oregon Wedding

Second wedding of the year and neither of them were Washington weddings! I love getting to travel a bit to capture people's love stories.

It's incredibly fun to see Jonathan & his beautiful bride so stinking happy. Considering he was practically my brother growing up...I hoped & prayed he would find someone as crazy & wonderful as he is. Chels, you are just that. Love you both. Here are a few of my favs from your wedding!
