Whitney & Bethany // Alabama In-Home

Oh my gosh I blogged! I haven’t had time to come up for air in quite some time now, but this shoot was deserving of a blog post. So here I am, days away from leaving for China. While checking millions of things off of my ever growing list, I am again reminded that in the midst of the busyness…I freaking love my job(s).

I get to take pictures of incredible people, I get to sing until my throat aches, travel all over the world & most importantly…I get to be with the people I love while doing it. Like what? Heck…who needs sleep when you get to spit truths like these out of your mouth.

Ben & Chretienne // Sprague Shoot

I've never had to convince someone that they "needed" me to take photos of them. These two were a little tricky to persuade. They've never had photos together & aren't really fans of the whole "photos together" deal. But I forced them into it and they were (not so surprisingly) oh so natural & fun in front of my lens. I do feel bad for them though...cause I will be photographing them again even if I have to be a stalker to do it. They were kind, beautiful & the perfect subjects for a summer shoot of love.

PS. If you are my friend, you know I've suggested "Madelines" in Spokane as a meet up spot more than once (if not every time we hang out). It's only fitting that some of my favorite spots in town are owned by Ben & his family. They have a customer for LIFE.

Corey & Kyha // In Home Shoot

If there is a puppy at your house and you ask me to come take photos...I may pay more attention to the puppy than you. I'm sorry in advance for this flaw of mine. Luckily, Corey & Kyha are some of the coolest humans, so I enjoyed my time with them too.

This cute home, with this cute dog and this cute couple made one freaking adorable session.  Have a looksie.

Tyler & Christine // Spokane Engagement

Some people are disgustingly photogenic. I didn't even have to try to be good with Christine...she was just perfect for every photo. Then there is Tyler. The way Tyler looks at Christine melts my heart. There was no chance of failure for this shoot with their photogenic love filled glances. I can't wait for this special August wedding.

David & Kayla // Spokane Wedding

At most weddings, people are happy for the bride & groom...at least every wedding I've been to. But this wedding they weren't just happy. They were invested, emotional, real, joyful, proud & downright celebratory. There was a different air about the loved ones that gathered around this beautiful couple several weeks back. They were "in" with them. I feel like I was a part of something extra special with these two. I hope to keep them not just as clients but as friends. No actually, I think I will force them to be. They are just that cool.

Also...they had snow as their reception exit. I surely can't leave that detail out.

"No words can describe our wedding day as we commited our lives to each other in front of our family & friends. We woudn't change a single moment of that day. Our biggest surprise was stepping back & realizing how dearly we are loved & supported by those around us. We are already loving what God has in store for us. Here's to the great gift of marriage" -David & Kayla

Ryan & Alissa // Spokane Valley Couple Shoot

If you know these two people...you are lucky. They are incredible talented (check out Ferguson Films & Alissa Ferguson Photography for proof), they are profoundly kind, fun & they are insanely beautiful! Alissa asked me to take some family photos for them & I felt honored for the opportunity. Naturally I agreed...but only if I could take some of her & Ryan as well. They are just to cute to pass up.

Nick & Shelby // Spokane Engagement

What if you met someone...you fell in love...and you asked them to spend the rest of their life with you? Well that is exactly what happens, and somehow I get the extreme privilege of capturing it. That is making me so happy right now. I can't even handle it.

Andrew & Gemmina // Coeur d' Alene Engagement

Gemmina...you are my partner in crime. When I started doing this photography thing, I sort of forced you to do it with me. We've shared many laughs, calmed many wedding day storms & scouted endless locations together. Funny thing is, that is not even the best part our friendship. You are one of my "people". Someone I trust with the hard stuff, someone I turn to when I run out of time & need help finishing projects & someone who thinks of what I need before I know I need it. To say I am protective over you would be an understatement. You mean the world to me & all I ever wanted was for you to find the perfect man.

Andrew...I know you will take care of this special girl. In the very short time I've gotten to know you, I've seen you bend and grow to be a man that strives to love her deeply. It's been such a pleasure getting to know you & I hope you know that Eric & I will always be people you two can turn to for anything.

I love you both & simply cannot wait for your wedding day. It's going to be magical!

Whitney & Bethany // Alabama Portrait

Bethany hates getting her photo taken. She hardcore wines every time I mention taking pics of her & Whit. Which is silly because they are adorable & their adorableness should be documented more often. The two of them are incredible photographers themselves, but hardly have any photos of themselves, so I basically force them into it whenever I get a chance.

And I don't feel bad about it. I'm such a good friend ;).
